  1. Chakravarthy: two questions.

    1. Do you expect these resignations will help your cause?

    2. If yes, will an aggressive stance secure these resignations?

I ask because you accuse these folks of spinelessness, power hunger & worse. The extracts from your recent posts below are quite strong.

Even assuming the accusations/claims are true, the tone of the address is likely to put them on the defensive. No one likes to be orally abused. It will not be easy to join those who are scolding so strongly.

      1) Yes

      2) Yes

Our leaders are thick skinned and they need strong language to get the message across. They are not grasping the intensity of people's desires.

    • vvk says:

Instead of blaming APNGOs for their strike against injustice being done, Chief Justice should ask KaChaRa and gang and T-vaadis, why was the agitation started and fueled by LIES. They have hundreds of hours of media footage to show the systematic propagation of lies and spread of hatred. ALL THAT IS HAPPENING IN AP TODAY HAS THE ROOT CAUSE IN THESE LIES SPREAD BY SEPARATISTS.

    • satya says:

I just want to know, If the NGOs reacted as a general public(not as a employe union) and participating in an agitation, what can the govt do except stalling their salaries?

        • @satya:

The service rules remain the same whether one strikes work as an individual or as a union member. The advantage in union action is that it can leverage on the organizational power.

Govt. service rules recognize the right to strike for service related reasons. This is why T-employees included conditions like pay commission in their strike notice.

Looks like Andhra NGOs did not get the necessary advice. Surprising when you notice a former AG is the legal brain behind the strike.

Having said this, it is highly unlikely that any Govt. will take the drastic & politically suicidal step of terminating any employee. They will typically hide behind courts.

If the court declares the strike illegal, the unions can resume duty and serve a fresh notice after including service related demands. This is to prevent contempt of court proceedings.

No real worry about salary loss. Most strike withdrawal agreements have some kind of clauses to eliminate the blow. For instance, strike period can be adjusted against accrued leave.

          • prabhakara rao says:

Ahaa! Win-win situation for TNGOs. Strike notice for service related issues. Tell people we are forgoing salares for Telangana cause. Once Telangana created get promotions and increments.

(Of course, he should had said Telangana dubbing)

So do not waste your time in raising meaningless questions again and again on samaikya udyamam. You will get same answers given by separatists.

    • @prabhakara rao:

With due respect, this is not Ashok Babu's blog.

My question is not to Chakravarthy, not the other agitators. He can choose not to respond but it is not fair to assume his strategy is the same as that of Babu/others.

      • prabhakara rao says:

OK JaiGo, I change my comment.

Do not repeat the same silly comments again and again.

Similar things happened in separatists movement which were justified in various ways.

        Same applies to Samaikya movement.

I wonder how Mr. Chakravarthy and Mr. Parakala got together on this joint venture?

  6. GK says:

    Chakravarthy,

Both your letters to Chiranjeevi and Kavuri lacks substance. Not even single reason was elicited for the cause you are agitating for. What you expect Kavuri to just do what you want? Unless you provide substantive reasons that he can use to put forth…no purpose in such letters, I believe

    • vvk says:

It is a pity you are trying to find substance in these simple letters asking them to resign, and the ministers themselves knew all the facts of the situation.

If only T-brothers had the same interest in finding "SUBSTANCE" in the lies propagated (ing) by KaChaRa and gang, things would have been different today.

    • Reddy says:

Unfortunately all these wont have any affect on the center. Water has crossed the mark,

They will go ahead with Telangana formation with Hyderabad as its capital and  It will be Deja vu for Andhra and have to build a Capital from scratch.

Its time to stop Samaikhya Andhra movement and start discussing issues at stake, like revenues, water, jobs etc.

      • Chakravarthy says:

Reddy garu. You can't be more wrong. Let us come back in three months and see, who is right. The state won't be divided.

        • Murali says:

One of the best speeches I have ever seen, Chakravarthy garu, I got an idea.  Instead of resigning, what if the MPs split and form a new party. If they form a new party they will not be affected by the anti-defection law. The reasoning for this as follows:

Let us say that the total number of MPs is 540. UAP needs 271 MPs for absolute majority. If say 20 MPs from AP resign then the total falls to 520 and they will need only 261 MPs for absolute majority.

If they split and form a separate party UPA will lose 20 MPs but the absolute majority mark will still remain at 271, This way they will get more bang for their buck,

Chakravarthy garu and others what do you think about this idea?,

          • Chakravarthy says:

Can't trust the MPs. We prefer resignations. If Kavuri can be bought out, any one of the MPs is a fair game.

            • @Murali:

Including Sabbam Hari, there are 19 Andhra Congress MPs in Loksabha. 7 of these are ministers who will not find it easy to resign.

Even if all the 19 quit Congress, it is way below the defection law treshold. They will thus attract disqualification.

            • prabhakara rao says:

More than half of the MPs are clear on thier future. Political career of likes Kavuri, Undavalli, KC Deo, Rayapati is more or less over. Kanumoori also faces same. Some cannot win next election regardless division or not. Pallamraju, Ananta, Saipratap are some of them. Congress is very clear in its mind that it does not want Kamma leaders in near future. So Lagadapati future is uncertain. Panabaka and Jhansi abide by amma at any cost. They know how to win again. Killi is very likely to follow their path.

That leaves Purandhreswari, Harshakumar, Kotla, SPY reddy, Magunta, Chinta Mohan and Sabbam. Of these Sabbam is more or less not with congress. If I am not wrong SPY reddy can switch to YSRC.

In total only 5 or 6 MPs may actually resign.

By numbers it does not make any difference to congress and UPA government.

But leaves enough scope for BJP throw spanners in congress plan.

Will BJP lose ground Telangana if it comes in the way of AP division? Answer yes and no. Yes! because potential pro-T vote will be lost. No! because most of the pro-T vote is already captured by Cong and TRS and whatever left for BJP is insignificant.

              • @prabhakara rao:

Sabbam Hari has one foot in YSR party for a long time. He has not taken the plunge only because of local politics i.e. anti-Konatala.

Ananta Venkatrami Reddy is rumored to be joining YSR anytime. Saipratap & SPY Reddy are also possible candidates for the jump. A few more may follow suit.

Anyone who wants to join YSR party will take this opportunity to resign, subject to Jagan assuring candidacy in 2014. My guesstimate is around 7-8 MPs will resign.

        • Reddy says:

          Chakravarthy Garu,

I really pray that you are right and AP remains united :-) . However I see that congress is really adamant and has made several statments to the affect that "There is no going back on Telangana".

We were also under the assumption that after SKC report which debunked the tall claims of T-vadi's,  congress would not dare to go ahead with Telangana decision, but look we all were wrong. So we have to play realpolitik considering the quandry Congress is in now.

          • prabhakara rao says:

            Reddy,

your assumption was not wrong nor illogical. On the contrary it is the actions of congress that are rather illogical. So anything can happen. It could be even reversal of decision on division. :-)

As far as the statements are concerned I would like to remind PM stand on the Law Minister Ashwin Kumar case. MMS said* no question of AK resigning. But we know what happened eventually.

            * In typical filmi style I wanted to write PM thundred. Unfortunately everyone knows he cannot even shout.

  9. P. Rao says:

    @AMRAO garu

Thanks for the link.  It is a very effictive speech by Mr. Chakravarty. Some people are thinking that formation of T is a done deal.  But I can not imagine how the Centre can go forward with the bifurcation of AP as things stand now. I would say the people of Seema and Kosta effectively checkmated the Centre/Delhi rulers by expressing their wish as one voice in the last 45 days.  We are witnessing historic events in the saga of Andhra Jaathi (Telugu Nation).  Everybody say Jai Telugu Thalli! I do not want to see a day when I blame myself that when Telugu Thalli's integrity was under attack I was silent.

  10. vvk says:

We often hear T-politicians say that, "we can be separated and live like brothers"

In my opinion, we are like conjoined twins, with 100% probability of death if separated. Hyderabad, Water & Power are some of the key common financial factors, and as mentioned by Mr. Chakravarthy "ANDHRA JATHI" is a very important cultural factor for unity.

  12. P. Rao says:

@Reddy:  "Its time to stop Samaikhya Andhra movement and start discussing issues at stake, like revenues, water, jobs etc."

It is a reasonable suggestion.  But T-vaadis say everything stays with us, you Andhras go away.  So there is nothing to discuss.  Like in the Sri Krishna rayabharam, when Pandavas requested a settlement with one city per brother, 5 cities in all, Duryodhana said that he would not even concede a pin point of land (soodi mopinanta sthalamu) for his cousins.  Reminiscent of this, when the issue of common capital was brought up, KTR/Harish Rao said we do not concede even an inch of Hyderabad for the Andhras. [This episode was mentioned by Mr. Somireddy Chandra Mohan Reddy of TDP in a TV discussion. I am only recounting that.]

    • Reddy says:

      Rao garu,

Nice analogy in regards to Rayabharam. So we have to accept that T is a reality but with certain conditions attached.

As JP said congress wants to corner all of Telangana votes by showing that it has punished entire Andhra for the sake of Telangana. So this sadistic approach is guaranteed to fetch "ALL" of Telangana votes.I fear this is what is going to happen, lame duck PM and clueless Sonia will concede Hyderabad to Telangana with little regards to SA.

      • satya says:

Reddy, I believe, in reality none of the political parties are serious about to keep the state united.**, as these parties are unable to afford the election expenses, esp. the opposition parties, but wants to come to power somehow.

This is the reason why, the opp. parties in AP whipped up the sentiment and tried to ride their fortunes on it, even though they are not sure how much of it will transform into votes, they don’t want to be a mute spectators in the game.

Now, Congress don’t want to let that advantage happen to TDP, instead they are trying to use the same sentiment for a graceful performance which otherwise would be a complete debacle.

** Even if some parties are favoring united AP, and put an end to this mess, they don;t want to be odd man out, in the total drama. They seek an unwritten agreement with other parties like alright folks, I will not talk about T, and you also don’t.  X party will exit only if Y, Z, K, M also agrees to exit. But thats difficult. They don’t trust each other. So, the tamasha will continue.

2009 SA movement is a great opportunity for TDP to step back and introspect, but the arrogant Naidu failed to asses the repercussions. Now his party is bound to wipe out from both the regions.

  13. Kiran says:

T sepratists are not interested in truths or arguements – they are on emotional high – the high that fascist prejudices give. What they need is verbal equivalent of strong slaps on face to make them see sense.

In 1930s eruope there was already some prejudice against jews in the local white population. But the white people had enough sense not to let it go out of hand and also enough culture to be ashamed of speaking about it openly. To overcome this shame and make such prejudices respectable is the great acheivement of nazism and fascism. They did this by giving this prejudice a pseduo scientific and socialist mask. They also misused history to achieve this.

Current telangana movement is exactly the same. Their is household prejudice against andhra in some telangana households – nothing remarkable about it – we have such prejudices against telangana, dalits etc. But telangana people like andhra ppl had enough culture to keep it at limits. Then came evil in form of t sepratism where all sorts of false science of "job stealing"…"catchment = irrigation potential"..false statistics came up to give these shameful prejudices respectability and what we see now  is widly prejudiced people  who are no longer ashamed of their pejudices.

Why am i saying all this ? we can learn lessons from how fascism is defeated in europe. It was not easy – you dont win by simply saying telangana allegations as "baseless" "false" "lies" or by reasoning how samaikyandhra is better. Far more punch is required so the shame is bought in again – atleast begin by calling it what it really is – naked fascism.

    Thanks,

    Kiran

  14. Kiran says:

What i said above also applies to seemandhra politicians . Infact i would like to see far more stronger letters and any other communication which shame them – content is not important – they are already fully aware.

  16. Chandra says:

Its was a great speech by Chakravarthy garu. I see three important potential positive outcomes out of it.

     1. People who are neutral or going with the crowd in Telangana gets to question themseleves and understand the historic importance of unity.

    2. People of SA in Hyderabad gets a huge morale booster as there is a clear indication that separatists wherever they are in AP will be driven out of AP.

    3. THird thing is, it will reduce the intenstity of possible backlash when the progress on the CWC decision is stalled. Already I am hearing, in Karimnagar itself peolple are so fed up with Badhs and shut downs that they can not take anymore. The five year old kid is forced to got o school as a compensation, on sundays if there is a call for bandh on a week day. And they are really frustrated with that. And I am talking about the kids of the govt school teahcers who have been an imp section in the T separatist agitation.

    Good job.

  17. P. Rao says:

There are a lot of potential integrationists in the twin cities and all over Telangana. We don't hear much from them, why?  A network of goons exists that would go and threaten anybody who is trying to speak against separation.  This is totalitarian and similar to the tactics of Nazi and Fascist youth before the World War II. Consider the following groups in Telangana:  Muslims and Marxists are outright against separation. Other groups in Telangana who are not keen on bifurcation are, Brahmins, Dalits, first and second generation Andhras (so called settlers).  All these groups make up a majority of Telangana population.  They are totally muted by the T-goons and can not open their mouths without repercussions.

The hatred for fellow Andhras spread by T-vadis with lies and propaganda is so pervasive, even if and when separate Telangana is formed, the settlers from Andhra region have no political future in Telangana. They won't be able to freely contest as locals in general elections and get elected to the assembly and parliament for a long time to come.  Like they are all wearing letter A as a namam on their foreheads.  The Centre and state governments are not sensitive to these issues.

    • prabhakara rao says:

      P. Rao garu,

Good observation. With due apologies bad conclusion.

I doubt if T-goons really had such a great reach to stiffle every voice.

I would say the integrationists in  పది జిల్లాల తెలంగాణ are indifferent to the situation.

They need not take a stand against division or in favor of unity. The least they should do is express their nuetrality to counter the claims of separatists.

      • satya says:

        >> I would say the integrationists in  పది జిల్లాల తెలంగాణ are indifferent to the situation.

Bang on.. The integrationists in hyderabad and telangana just wish the state to be united. They personally don't loose anything, even if the state is bifurcated.

So, some of them are of opinion, why to open their mouth and get the wrath of separatists? and the rest are not sure how to register their voice? They simply cannot find a right platform to express it.

        • Chandra says:

I endorse Satya's analysis and agree to prabhakara rao's suggestion.. It "appears" to integrationists in T or Hyd that they dont "loose" anything, but its not so simple. I even told the neutrals that, even retired people of T, in case of division may not smoothly get pensions as financial sitation of T will not be good.  Unless the heat directly affects them they are not getting motivated. Thats why hyd as UT should be used as a temporary string. Because that will lead to a very bad financial situation for T and people get motivated for AP.

Above all of these there is no right platform to express the opinions safely. Several VMS efforts were thwarted by police itself.

People in the third world India and China  have become so selfish that no morals, decency ethics etc. The irony is, the same cultures who emphasized on, insignificance of material benifits in the greater pursuit of life have succombed to it,so much that they dont know what they are doing.

All I can say is it gets ugly. Seema Andhra home owners try to give their house to Seema Andhra people only for rent. SA people go to only SA lawyers. SA people will try to send their kids only to SA owned schools.

If some one thinks I am kidding, just look at what happens with our Muslim brotheren. Think of the scenarios in the above three examples.

    Chakravarthy,

First of all I congratulate you for the good work. However, I am totally convinced that the rastra vibhajan will happen. As KCR said, you do not have any "medhavulu" and you will not find anyone today. The medhavulu that the seemandhra region boasted prior to formation of AP all either migrated to different parts of world, or India or are in Hyd and their offspring is either doing private jobs or are in film industry and they do not know anything to answer back the extremely educated, wise and rogue-hatred filled concotionists. All seemandhra people are interested in watching movies and all T people are interested in watching, writing, chatting and getting involved in their movement. You cannot establish an OU or a UofH or KU or a cosmo-capital city to give birth to medhavulu at once. I have watched so many T videos continuously for 2 days and also read.

You are fighting a waste udhyamam. You will loose. If you think you really wish the good of the seemandhra people,I advise you all to give up as the T guys will not stop. The amount of hatred that KCR and his people are filling in their people has already reached a saturation point. Since you do not have medhavulu you will not be able to stop this hatred and it will ultimately ruin the lives of andhra people.

Telangana Formation: A Dent to Democracy

When telangana region (and Hyd city) of Hyderabad state was merged with Andhra state, it was ratified at all levels as per constitutional process:

Hyderabad State Congress passed a unanimous resolution demanding merger

Unanimous resolutions were passed in Hyderabad and Secunderabad Municipal Corporations

Seven out of 10 District Congress Committees (in Telangana region) have unanimously passed resolutions for formation of AP

At the Chief Ministers conference on October 22, 1955, Andhra and Hyderabad CMs suggested immediate merger of Hyderabad and Andhra states instead of waiting for five more years as proposed by the SRC.

Based on the overwhelming support in favor of the merger, all regions became so connected to Hyderabad like branches connected to the trunk of a tree.

So, it is only fair to get the bifurcation also ratified as per constitutional process with the assent of majority.

But in this entire process, all democratic values and principles were completely ignored.

First, Central Govt constituted Sri Krishna Committee which toured all parts of Andhra Pradesh, listened to all views, saw for themselves the development across regions and submitted report.

That report reflected the true feelings of all sections of people and also established facts.

Did the Central Govt direct the state government to table it in assembly, discuss the facts and find an amicable solution? Was any attempt even made?

Thus, the only report which reflected the true feelings of all sections of people and established real facts was pushed under the carpet permanently for the fear of backlash from the separatists who knew that they would lose the argument on most of the parameters like development, Jobs, infrastructure, central investment, private sector etc, which is exactly what Sri Krishna Committee found.

When the government ignores the findings of its own committee and caves into threats & pressures, the Govt proved that it is too weak to protect the democracy.

Emboldened by this, the separatists went berserk and made mockery of the basic constitutional rights of people who did not share their sentiments and chose the dangerous path of splitting the people along regional lines.

Instead of realizing their mistake at least after seeing the barbarism that prevailed there after, the Government allowed CWC, a policy making body of party, to announce the decision on behalf of the government.

The mistakes did not stop there; they continued to allow the same party representatives to make statements without giving any heed to majority sentiments.

When majority people feel helpless in a democratic system, it will leave permanent scar in the minds of them as their voices became ‘a cry in the forest’.

Also, the hatred spread by separatists will remain in the minds of people which will be passed on to future generations.

This will be a hindrance to the progress of all regions.

We hope that at least now, the central government takes the role of a big brother instead of shoving the bitterness down the throats of majority which will dent the very foundations of our democratic system and set up a bad precedence where vested interests think they can get what they want by raking up emotions and spreading hatred which will ultimately pose problems to our national integrity and threaten the constitutional rights of people.

Telangana: An Untold Truth About Secunderabad

We keep telling Pro-Telangana guys that all regions were part of Hyderabad state for 250 years until Nizam leased/ceded Coastal & Seema regions to British towards the end of 18th century and the revenue from diamond mines in Coastal & Seema is instrumental in the development of Hyderabad.

    But they don't listen.

They very conveniently consider the history only from the beginning of the 19th century during which time Coastal & Seema were under British instead of Nizam's Hyd state.

Hence, as per them Coastal & Seema have no right on Hyderabad.

If that is the case, as per their own logic, they have no right on Secunderabad. Why? Here is the untold truth.

Secunderabad was founded in 1806AD by British and was directly developed & administered directly by British with revenues from Coastal & Seema areas and not under Nizam's Hyderabad state.

So, as per pro-Telangana groups own argument, they also have no right on something that was never under Nizam's Hyderabad state.

Friends, Pro-Telangana groups want to hide not just developmental figures but many untold truths like this from people. That's why they dread any meaningful discussions and foil them with threats and violence. But in the end, truth always prevails.

Its highly likely that a cabinet note will be placed with expanded hyd as permanent joint capital city with a choice to build separate economic districts if they want for both SA and T. Govt might give some monitory support for this. President will send a draft to AP assembly for their view. Meanwhile agitation in T also will start but will fail to gain enough strength as T people can no longer support the stubborness of separatists. Not many T MLA's can support this bill as hyd has become neutral.. Bill will fail. After that everybody can guess what else can happen.

Politically cong might ask KCR to cotinue to speak some nonsense and use TRS to gain as many no of seats as possible in T with YSR on the other side. This is the contingency plan of cong which they never liked, but will have to go with.  Not all cong MLA's can jump and  work under KCR until 2014.TRS might win 40-50 seats in 2014. Because cong tried for T it might get around 8-10 MP seats those who have been very vocal in recent years.

If the Centre is adament in going ahead with the division of AP the following should be considered.  I am not in favor of leaving Hyderabad entirely to the T-vaadis. A city meant for 100% of AP citizens will be gifted to 40% of the population. It is unfair to the rest of the 60%. But the Telugu people (both sides) should not lose the city to UT either. You are conceding the control of the city to the Central rulers for nothing.  May be a Berlin model should be considered.  I am looking at an old map of Germany.  Berlin city is located in the heart of East Germany, very much like Hyderabad in the heart of Telangana. But they divided the city between East and West Germany after WW II. Hyderabad could be divided on a 60: 40 basis permanently.  Then SA can have a separate capital with legislature in the SA region and may be High Court in Hyderabad. The 60% of the industrial sector in Hyderabad remains with the SA.  The new AP will exist in two geographical pieces; plenty examples exist for states in non-contigues parts. So that is not anything new.  This kind of division of land should not pain anybody.  Hyderabad was found and developed in the last 400 years or so.  For any impartial observer it is clear that the contribution of SA people to its growth was at least 60% through out these 400 years.

One thing, the SA region should be properly compensated in any division of the state. Number two, the greedy T-vaadis should not be rewarded with a bounty that is Hyderabad city at the cost of SA.

AFAIK, the festival is mostly limited to tribals in telangana area and in some of the backward castes. I mean no belittling.  But giving it a color of 'famously' celebrated T festival is carried with vested interests but not coz of any love towards the festival/ Goddess.

            AMRao please read,

            Telangana dream sours

            Deccan Chronicle, February 13th, 2010

            By Kancha Ilaiah

The movement for Telangana has now touched a peak. It has also become a movement with unique characteristics. Masses belonging to all walks of life have come out to the streets with their cultural symbols. We can see dalit-Bahujans beating drums and dholaks, the Other Backward Classes (OBCs) with their ploughshares and bullock carts, shepherds with their flock, toddy tappers with their moku (rope assembly used to climb palm trees) and muttadu (the belt they wear to keep their hatchet) and stone-breakers with their own iron artefacts.

The festive game of Bathukamma (a women's festival celebrated mainly during Dasara, pro-Telangana activists are performing the Bathukamma on the highways as a form of protest and to highlight their Telangana identity) was also enacted. It was being projected as a cultural symbol.

During the age of Nizam, Bathukamma used to be enacted by the Shudras — mostly OBCs. Dalits were not allowed to participate as they were seen as pollutants even by the OBCs of lower order. And the upper caste women — particularly Brahmins, Komatis, Reddys and Velamas — would not participate as it was seen as a Shudra festive game. They thought it was below their dignity.

Now suddenly some Dorasanlu (women of dominant castes) went to this play as a symbol of the agitation. Is it for Telangana or for power?

The most interesting thing is that while the lower castes are using their cultural symbols to achieve a separate Telangana, the members of former feudal families are playing the politics of agitation. We also see a surprising unity between some Reddy and Velama political lords.

The whole attempt by these two caste forces is to control the political joint action committee (JAC) that is driving the Telangana agitation. Some academicians have also been drawn in to mediate between those two otherwise politically warring castes.

It is as if the stereotype of future Telangana is being played out — "We will play politics and you should play Dhoom Dham, Bathukamma and drums".

And some of these leaders are collecting huge amounts of money, mostly to build their family's "political economy" while distributing pittance to ring leaders from the lower castes.

As the balladeer Gaddar rightly says "kanche kaada nuvvu, collection kaada neenu" (you should protect the fields and I will reap the crops). But some intellectuals keep on saying, "Let us not talk about any immorality — after all to achieve Telangana such small things need to be done".

The most surprising aspect in the movement is the entry of the Maoist upper caste elements in this "more collection, less distribution" model of political economy.

In the name of achieving Telangana all ideological battles have been set aside. One upper caste Maoist intellectual went to the extent of saying that the JACs from village upwards were working like "Maoist communes".

What this really means is that the sons — even some daughters — of upper caste landlords have come back to the villages to head and lead the JACs by "usurping" the legitimate village sarpanchs. Now Telangana has come under the raj of the upper caste JACs.

Some former Maoist activists have become leaders of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti and are praising their leader for conducting Yajnas, Yagas and Kratus in the party office. He also walks around with a huge Bal Thackeray type bottu (tilak) on the forehead and they seem to be enjoying the neo saffron style of the leader.

But the Muslims are scared of these visuals and the Bharatiya Janata Party probably sees a new rival in the region if it becomes a state.

The emergence of the Shiv Sena or of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena kind of political entity in the region does not seem to be a problem for the Maoists and they too seem to think that there is just one point agenda — we must achieve Telangana and hand over power to "our people".

What really worries all of them is the student movement mainly headed by the dalit-Bahujan youth. This has become an inconvenient factor. There is competition to buy them off or to make them foot soldiers.

There is a resistance from the students but one does not know for how long the youth can sustain that resistance.

We also see the political JAC compromising with Centre and welcoming the Srikrishna Committee without it making any reference to Telangana state formation. Mr K. Jana Reddy welcomes the committee and K. Chandrasekhar Rao approves it in silence. The Telugu Desam keeps playing the double game quite skillfully. The Union home minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, is doing some arm-twisting as he has a clear understanding about "the unholy alliance between Maoists and money collectors".

            • JJ says:

Deshapathi is of Low BC caste (that is why he always continuously barks about Bathkamma)  whose festival it was originally.  Rasamayi Balakishan is of Scheduled Caste (which was not allowed to celebrate the festival; Since Rasamayi did not go to Osmania for studies he does not know how the high BC, SC and ST students oppose the festival when Kavitha of jagruthi tried to force it on them, Later the poor OU SCs, STs and High BC students were bought out by the goondas). Can they show the same enthusiasm and destroy lets say, Charminar or Mecca Masjid or even the railway station and promise to build another one in their place?

Unlike the docile Andhras, Owaisi and his stormtroopers would have made a mincemeat of the agitators, had they tried such antics and would have kissed Telangana's ass goodbye for once and for all.

Nicompoop agitators impotence was so glaringly evident when they did not even enter the old city to enforce a bandh while rest of hyderabad/secunderabad were in a complete shutdown while agitation was its peak.

Oh but wait, Nizam is highly regarded by these fuedal leaders, because he built such magnificient infrastructure that was the envy of the world (albeit by sucking the blood of Telangana peasants), so his cultural symbols are sacrosanct while their Andhra counterparts icons are a grisly reminder of their subjugation and cultural superiority.

    3. Warangal was called Andhranagari, Suravaram called the whole region Andhra. CNR always called Andhra. Now the Naizam T people are taught to hate the word Andhra. How silly. Satavahanas were Andhras. Our Nizam T people are taught to claim Satavahanas but hate Andhras. hahaha cheapest lie.
    4. Late Dasarathi said Asalandhra ku telangana paryayam kaada? meaning aren't Andhra and Telangana synonyms.
    5. When Naizam was ruling, the entire Telugu region was called Telang. Even Dasarathi junior said that in his latest interview.
    6. KCR is Velama and Velama is a caste that originated in Guntur where velanadu exists. This is the oldest definition of velama. KTR, son of KCR studied in Guntur Vignan. KCRs grandparents come were born in Vizianagaram.
    7. Hyd city was the only development during Nizam time but now people lie saying Nizam developed entire region. Then why did we do Sayudha Poratam against doralu and nizam. If we lie, that means we do not honor the people who died for that movt. Hyd city was developed to cater muslim population, some doras benefitted. I studied in one of schools. Our school has photos from 1850 and not a single local studied the schools until 1960. You can find the same in every school in the naizam region. For the OU students who are brainwashed to hate and lie, you should do this first, open your college album and registers and count the number of locals. It will be 1%. We locals were only coolies that built Osmania and other buildings.
    8. The literacy of Naizam T region was 3% prior to integration and now it is 65% excluding Hyd. The literacy of Seemandhra was 33% prior to integration and now it is 66%.
    9. Urdu was the official language of the region. Nizam was responsible for the cultural bashing. Now we are hating our own brothers in Andhra, though they did so much for us. Krishna Dist's Madapati was the leader of Andhra Mahasabha in Naizam T, Nellore's Puchalapalli Sundarayya lead the Communist Party (Comrade and Leader of the Telangana Rebellion against the Feudal Landlords and Razakars and Nizam). ECL was the brain child of A.S.Rao of Andhra. Hitech City was the brainchild of Naidu of Andhra. They are visionaries and some people in our Naizam region are just jealous and so this movt started by brainwashing people with hatred.
    10. NTR was the first person to uplift the BCs, SCs and STs of the Naizam region by abolishing Patel/Patwari system (made the deshpandes, deshmukhs, patwaris) powerless at the village level as they were suppressing the lower castes. Listen to lectures at the BR Ambedkar Open Univ and you will know how some people are grateful to NTR.
    11. Bathkamma was never celebrated in Hyd or elsewhere except for a town in warangal or until a decade or even less back. Only Bonalu was performed and the procession was segrated by various caste groups, malas conducting their bonalu, madigas conducted theirs, kuramas conducted theirs etc.
    12. Bathkamma belongs to Low BCs and now used for politics. Telangana Thalli is nothing but Low BC goddess as she carries Bathkamma in her hand. Our Naizam T people wanted to do a movt and began it with a casteist goddess who opposed SCs and STs to celebrate the festival.
    13. Deshapathi calls Sankranthi as Andhra festival. Deshpathi says Lord Rama suppressed them. How casteist can he get?
    14. Bhadrachalam belongs to Andhra. Huzurnagar, Aswaraopet, Munagala, part of Nagarjunasagar belong to Andhra.
    15. Nizam became the world's richest person by mining in Andhra. 13 of the world's 20 greatest diamonds were mined from Andhra.

    • GK says:

You did not get any of the very basics of the T-agitation….just harping on things that give you emotional feelings….

Here are the basis…Water, Jobs and political/economical imbalance from day 1.

      • Ravi says:

GK, you are very funny you think. Your whole agitation is only emotional lies, everyday it is a nonsense about language, culture etc. SKC already took care of your water, jobs and political/economical crying. Keep crying.

      • Ravi says:

GK, dont talk. If you can post your list for my list, as answers we will see and know your emotional truth..

  38. GK says:

This can be avoided people….have wisdom…

  39. Yamini says:

These lies and hatred could have stopped for people of Seemandhra if the national leaders and other state leaders and educated people debated the lies that were spread in the name of Separate State. But no one cares about the others state as every state is a country in India. There are so many lies and only the national leaders like sonia etc could have shown some responsibility to educate the people what is truth and why the lies are spreading. Politics and Nepotism. It is very unfortunate when I think about the Brahmin community of Seemandhra. They have kept quiet. A 1000-1600 agraharam is built by the seemandhra brahmins in Hyd but the wise  community did not care to educate people. The Hyd seemandhra people are afraid or  politically motivated for their individual growth. Whereas the Naizam T people all over the world are very vocal in spreading the lies. I have my own fears that the same thing that happened on Tank Bund will happen in various ways in Naizam T.

    • P. Rao says:

The fact that the Center has enouraged the T movement and stage-managed the events have been mentioned on this blog a few times. Like you said the Delhi leaders could have just asked the T-vaadis to stop the lies but they are the instigators.

  40. Bhanu says:

Intha jaruguthunna, TV9 gaadu Phone Kottu Cheera Pattu (watched by seemandhra people) program where as V6 makes documentary on Andhrollu idhi andhrollu adhi (watched by T people). That is the difference.

  41. Chakravarthy:

Your comments on Ashok Babu's speech please. Is this the visalandhra that you are fighting for?

  42. Mano says:

Some Telangana people are saying that they cant simply live together with Andhras. Then why do you want Hyderabad which is so full of Andhras? Talk about what Hyderabad is today, nobody cares what it was 60 years ago.

Coming to Vishalandra, the methods and paths may be different, but everything Samaikyavadis are doing is ultimately for Vishalandra.
